Also known as a chiropractic adjustment, it serves to promote proper joint function and movement. This is done by manually applying a controlled force to specific joints, most commonly of the spine, that are hypomobile, or not moving properly. Mobility is restored, consequently relieving pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal. There are many different adjusting techniques used by chiropractors, and it is our responsibility as your doctor to identify what might work best for you. And if we feel that another office might have a better technique or service for you, we will refer you there. The techniques utilized at Be Well include Diversified, Activator, Thompson Drop, Webster, and Flexion/Distraction.

Danielle received a B.A. in French and Spanish from Harvard in 1998, and then spent much of her free time over the next two decades studying holistic nutrition, the energy of intention, and natural remedies for healing the body. In 2016, Danielle earned her Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching certification.

Over the next few years, Danielle’s skills were tested as she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in June 2017, just a month after her son was diagnosed with an autoimmune illness called PANDAS that causes brain inflammation and triggers mental health conditions. Danielle and her family weathered the storms and are thriving. Her experience inspired her to dive more deeply into energy medicine and sound healing. She is certified in reiki I and II, and is constantly expanding her knowledge in these areas.

Danielle joined the Be Well team in early 2020. In addition to her role as office manager, Danielle offers private energy healing sessions and group workshops at the Be Well Alchemy space.

Dr. Kristin Kolesar Fabris has practiced an individualized and holistic approach to patient care in Rhode Island since 2007. She believes true health should not be measured by merely the absence of disease but rather the quality of living. She is passionate about contributing to the growth of integrative healthcare in our community, which promotes determining true causation of a health concern and combining the best therapies for individual needs both for short term relief as well as long term wellbeing. She believes in teaching patients the ability to go inward to receive their care, to go inward to know their own bodies, and to become their own conscious healer from within themselves. She believes this care should be available to everyone, regardless of income or insurance coverage.

Dr. K earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in Chicago in 2007. She received her undergraduate B.S. degree in Psychology and Biology at Loyola University Maryland in 2004. She has extensive training in diagnosis, x-ray evaluation, physical medicine, and nutrition. She has had further extensive training in women’s health and nutrition, and is certified in Webster Technique for pregnant women. She currently serves as Past President on the board of the Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island.

When not practicing the art of adjusting, she is likely goofing around with her daughter Isla and spending time with family. Her passions are music and sound, dancing, poetry, plant medicine, yoga and meditation, and writing guided meditations for all to enjoy!
